We love this great Ramadan challenge from modest fashion designer Zahiyya.

She sent us information on a DIY maxi skirt tutorial she’s doing.

In other news…

Ramadan is literally next week.. and we’re not sure we’re ready for it!

For some reason it seemed so far away, but alas it’ll be here before we know it.

I’m definitely excited and can’t wait to be more disciplined.

With the schedule of fasting and breaking the fast etc. I’m usually better able to manage my time.

I want to focus on putting more time into things that actually have meaning.

So, for example… doing more with family and community and spirituality.

I’m also hoping to have some unique features for you to enjoy this month.. I’ll announce more details in the Behind the Screen post on Tuesday inshallah 🙂

Do you have any special Ramadan plans?

That’s such a great idea. I need to do something more festive for the kids!

I plan on hanging Ramadan lights with kids for the first time- it is definitely a time of clarity and focus. Shukran for the post! If sisters have any questions, I will be happy to answer them. Ramadan Karim! 🙂
