If you’ve never heard of this retail company… well now I’m going to tell you all about it!
It’s a Japanese company, and the first time I laid eyes on it, was when I was in New York a few years ago.
One of my brothers lives in NYC with this wife, and they told me all about Uniqlo and made me feel quite jealous.
Finally, I had the chance to see it for myself.
My personal thoughts are that it’s kind of a mix between Zara and H&M.
However, what I love about it? They have tailoring… on site!
So, for example if you’re short like me, you can get your pants hemmed in the same day.
That, my friends is an amazing thing.
I don’t like waiting a week to get pants hemmed, so I end up with long pants that look awkward and bunched up, or I have to purchase 4 inch heels to balance it out and my bunions hate me for it.
In any case, The Chicago Tribune has announced that it is headed our way, and I’m intrigued and excited.
Not sure if all the features will be there like the store I visited in NYC, but I guess once it opens I’ll find out!
Here are some past postings where I wore my favorite Uniqlo pants (I literally wore them all the time!)
I’ve since plumped up a tad bit, so they are sitting in my drawers until I can get back on track hehe.
