I really need to go someplace warm

Mariam Sobh Hijab Fashion and Hijab Style Blog

I’m not really complaining about the cold. It’s not bothering me too much.

The only problem I’m facing quite literally… is extremely dried out skin, especially on my face.

And that’s what’s bugging me about this weather. I feel like I’m falling apart!

Last night I had to slather on Aquafor (it’s like Vaseline) because my face was burning and red.

Why, you ask? Because I was walking outside in subzero temperatures part of the day, and I guess that’s what happens. lol.

At least that’s what I think.

After all that harsh weather outside, I go into a heated building that is dry and hot and I guess things kind of escalate.

So now my lips are chapped and sore in addition to the aforementioned dry face.

I do use humidifiers in my home, but I think that my body is just pretty much done with being cold and dry.

I learned my lesson after feeling like my face was being stretched (you know that feeling when you wash with a drying soap and you can almost hear your skin squeak).

So today I bundled up so well that you could only see my eyes peeking out. But I found myself feeling tired.

There is something about that icy wind. When it hits you, it chills you to your bones. And then when it’s gone, it feels like it took all your energy with it.

My favorite weather is hot and humid. I know I’m a little strange. But there is something wonderful about feeling like you walk into a steam room every day. Or maybe I’m just thinking that I love it, because I’m cold hehe.

Aside from the weather though, I’ve been scouting out some new cameras so I can get back into video mode. I feel like a broken record, I know I keep posting about this topic. But lately I’ve been getting dozens of requests every day from people all over the world on Facebook asking for more videos. I promise I’ll get to it.. when I get to it! 🙂

What else can I update you all on? Hmmm. I think that’s pretty much it.

Oh, stay tuned we have a giveaway coming up on Wednesday and some bonus coupon codes being released on Friday. Exciting stuff!

How have you been dear reader? Share your updates below, I do read them all and enjoy learning more about what you are up to! 🙂

This weather is so harsh Mariam. Like you I am trying my best to keep warm and cringe when I have to go outside. The older I get, the more I enjoy warmer, but not humid….lol weather. I wanted to let you know that ‘First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream’ is a wonderful cream to help with parched skin. You can see it on Sephora or Amazon I’m sure. It really does help with face and hands so very much! ‘Aquafor’ is great too and really helps with parched lips and cuticles. I hope you are getting some relief. Sounds like you are doing everything it takes! xx
