It’s been a horribly hot summer, but finally there’s a little respite this week. The weather in Chicago is back in the 60’s and 70’s, and I’m loving it.
Let me tell you, I’ve barely put any time or effort into getting dressed all summer long because I just don’t know what to wear when it’s in the 90’s and 100’s. And this summer, Chicago has been in the 100’s a little too often for my taste.
So, now, I finally have some incentive to go shopping again and to put some effort into my clothes.
In fact, last weekend, when I was searching for some new work outfits, I kept seeing fall outfits in the store. Usually, that’s exciting for me because I love fall clothing. But, it was too hot that day to even think about trying on wool pants and leather jackets.
In fact, when I was at New York & Company, I was lusting over this red leather jacket. I may have to go back and try it on this time.
But, what I’m really looking for are flat riding boots. I have some skirts that I think would look great with flat boots.
The problem with boots is, they’re so expensive, I always want them to be exactly perfect before I buy them.
Wish me luck!
Are you guys looking forward to buying anything now that the weather is a little cooler?
