It’s finally that time: The Olympics have started!
I’ve always been a huge fan of the Olympics. They’re just so exciting to watch!
You have the anticipation that comes with competition, but it’s also great to see such a large collection of people from so many different nations.
I also absolutely love all the stories they air throughout the Olympics about the athletes. It’s amazing how much you start to care and root for someone you didn’t even know about a few minutes before. But, that’s the power of good story telling!
Will you guys be watching this year?
What are your favorite events?
I love gymnastics and swimming, like so many other people. But, I also like watching some of the more obscure sports sometimes. Trampoline competition? Who wouldn’t want to watch that?

  1. I really enjoyed watching the olympic opening ceremony not only because it was cool and funny at times but also because its so nice to see so many people of all different backgrounds coming together for this evwnt!

  2. I am loving the Olympics.. just wish it was shown live in the U.S. and not delayed :(
Also was intrigued to see quite a few hijabis througout the opening ceremony!

  3. Yasmin, I totally agree with you. It’s fun seeing all the nations and learning a little bit about each of them.
Mariam, I feel like there are a LOT more hijabis this year. It’s great to see.
But yeah, I’m not a fan of spoilers. I keep trying to avoid them, but I inevitably find out what happened before getting a chance to watch.
