I’ve always wanted to wear the Spanish hijab style or “hip hop” hijab style but never felt that it suited me. Sometimes I think it looks like a swim cap. But I decided to try it out the other day and play around with it.

This is what I came up with at an impromptu home photo shoot:

Spanish hijab style

The scarf I used is from Belissima Scarves, speaking of which, they are currently running a special of 20% off for Hijabtrendz readers. It’s only until the end of the month, so make sure you enter the code “Trendz” at checkout!

I’m still not sure how I feel about this look.. it will probably take some playing around to get it just the way I like it.

Have you ever tried this style? Are there some looks you love but wouldn’t dare to wear?

  1. It looks really pretty, MashaAllah.

  2. Mashallah, very pretty :)

  3. I love trying new styles and the Spanish wrap is one of my favorites to wear often! You look really nice to me Mariam, you should try this look more often! :) By the way, do you wear full turtle necks if you already have long sleeves on or do you just wear the ‘Dickie’ part?

  4. Thanks ladies :)
@Jodi I took a turtleneck and cut the sleeves off lol so that I could wear it under things without it being too many layers. I’ve been planning to do a post on it. :D

  5. I like it. I might have to try it. What I really like about it is that you probably won’t get a hijab tan. I tan easily and I really dislike hijab tan. I think I will have to try this style.

  6. Hi!

You look very pretty wearing that, so don’t worry. :) I have also worn that style a lot. Do u pin it with the safety pin or…? If you have some good suggestions how to pin it in such way that style would last the whole day, then let me know. ;D
