Striped shirts and pashmina scarves

Lately I’ve become obsessed with striped shirts. Actually I take that back. I’ve always been obsessed. The funny thing is that the trend comes and goes but I’ve always got a nice stash of tops to accommodate what’s “in” lol.

My latest purchase is this slouch tee from Zara. I wore it for like a week straight because it is so comfortable and flowy.

The hijab I’m wearing is just a simple pashmina wrap scarf and it’s perfect for the cold weather.

I went to a brunch place with my family and quickly snapped the pictures in the bathroom (it was the only place with a mirror!) and then later that evening I took my youngest brother through downtown where I forced him to take a picture of me acting silly. I can never seem to get people to take my pictures, or at least the way I want them to take the pictures! haha.

What do you wear for winter hijab? Do you switch to warmer fabrics?

lol Denize I’m glad I’m not the only one who is OCD with pictures 🙂
@Afshi the funny thing is I’m just getting into pashminas I used to think they were too thick and annoying, but the ones I have a really nice and lite.

@Samera I got these from my mom and she ordered a ton of them online so I’m not sure where they came from. I’ll try to find out but I have a feeling it was something like ebay.

oh la la! ur making me want to go to Zara and get the same top..love the colours on it! and the pop is red is a cute touch 🙂 i tend to switch to thicker scarves during the winter…havent started the pashminas yet…but will get there as it gets colder. . i did used to wear a lot of those printed pashmina shawls a lot, but now are sick of them. they do make nice wrap shawls for the cold evenings 🙂

Yeah I like stripes too, I tried avoiding them for a while cos they say horizontal stripes make you look larger than you are but I can’t stay away from them haha. Besides, I think that since the hijab covers the chest area it sort of breaks up the strypey ‘focus’ a bit. I really like your top, especially the batwing style! And I totally know what you mean about the taking pictures thing….. I think it because we are usually the one WITH the camera so everybody gets a picture except us hehe
