I may be one of the few people out there who isn’t a big fan of summer. Sure, I like the sun, but I can’t stand the heat. I don’t mind the temperatures when they get a bit higher, but I absolutely hate anything above 85 degrees.

So it should come as no surprise that I love the fall. It’s always been my favorite season. I feel like I look much more put together because I can wear jackets that always have a way of tying an outfit in. Plus, I feel like I’m not sweating in everything I wear, and I don’t have to worry about wearing long sleeves, so it makes everything easier with hijab.

I especially realized my love for fall when I received the newest Nordstrom catalogue in the mail. I haven’t been in the mood to shop for months, and I think I can attribute it to the weather. I don’t care much what I wear in the summer because I feel like I look sweaty in anything I put on. But when I saw the fall clothes that are new to Nordstrom, I had that itch to shop again.

Check out this brown outfit. Aren’t those colors to die for?

And this jacket? I’ve already talked about my love of trench coats. They just look so streamlined.

I think my favorite, though, is this jacket. I love military-inspired looks, and this would go great with pants or a skirt.

I’ve also been searching for a new purse, and this may be the season to buy one.

This outfit was my favorite by far. I haven’t been brave enough to try a belt with a cardigan yet because I’m not sure how flattering that would look on me. But I might just try to emulate this look, especially the embellishments on the sweater and the color scheme.

Do you guys have a favorite season that inspires you to dress nicely? I think I just haven’t gotten the hang of looking cool and collected in the summer. The fall is where I thrive.

I LIKE that last outfit masha’Allah. I admit to viewing my apartment itself as my hijab in the summer time – I don’t go out much and wear only the minimum so I don’t boil insha’Allah :)

I completely dislike summertime. Like you said, I like the sunshine, but I hate the higher temperatures. Just last night I was thinking how much I’d like to have fall here already. Even winter would be better than summer :)

I only mind when it’s extremely humid. Other than that I try to appreciate each and every day, boiling and freezing lol.

I have to say I totally agree with you. I am from South America and when I came here, I had to say that here in the US, it gets much hotter than there. For us in S.A., we have the ocean breeze to look forward to, but here OMG, it is hot, hot, hot. I love the Fall season. I fell in love with the season because of the beautiful colors on the trees and especially, I can’t wait to wear my boots.
