Hijab Fashion Fix: Lose that muffin top

For those of you who may not know the lingo, a “muffin top” is when you’ve got jeans that fit perfectly but there is a little jiggle that comes up over the top of the waist forming a sort of muffin top shape.

We wanted to let you know that there is a way to alleviate that problem temporarily without resorting to exercise (or in drastic cases surgery).

Ever since low cut jeans became the popular thing, muffin tops exploded on the scene. Unless you have an extremely flat stomach, it’s just not going to work. Sorry.

And for the ladies who think they can just wear a tight shirt to hold things in… oops.. now you we can see the muffin top even more clearly.

We have been in your shoes, so we know it can be frustrating. What are you to do?

The answer: higher waist jeans.

It sounds scary and like something older women wear that could care less about fashion, but they work. Now they are coming back in style and they are hip and trendy.

The whole reason mom jeans probably came into existence is because they GET RID OF THE MUFFIN TOP.

These types of pants have a higher waist so they hold everything in.

Back in the day jeans didn’t come in any decent cuts and were usually very tapered at the leg making you look like you had an enormous behind. But now you can find them in the trendiest cuts.

So next time you’re on the lookout for jeans, try one of the higher buts and we can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Caraboska you’re right, if pants are too tight that can happen. But also, from personal experience, if you have a little bit of a belly (especially post pregnancy) those low-rise jeans are your worst enemy lol.
If you want to find jeans that fit, there are probably some sites out there in the vast web where you can find a place to custom design some for you. Actually now that I think of it I think I may have done a post looong ago about custom jeans lol.

I disagree – if there’s a ‘muffin’, means the jeans are too tight. I don’t have the luxury of wearing any women’s jean at all – not with a 36-inch inseam being only just barely long enough. And men’s jeans hang very low indeed…
