Whether you’re going out for an evening with the hubby or a soon-to-be spouse, there is nothing more perplexing than trying to find an outfit that expresses your hijab style.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to go to a really fancy restaurant and have something besides the same old abaya or pantsuit?

Here is our quick 4 step hijab style guide for your next date night:

  • 1. Find a long sleeve dress or one that can easily be hijabified.

  • 2. Find a hijab style that compliments the outfit (in this case a wrap scarf works well).

  • 3. Add in some shoes that aren’t too flashy since the dress is the main statement.

  • 4. Pop out a small clutch and you’re all set!

**Tip: Wear this dress with a long sleeve black top underneath and make sure it’s kind of snug so that it doesn’t bulk up.

  1. too cute

  2. I heart that dress!!!!

  3. This is a very beautiful outfit! I only wish I could sport some heels like that! WOW! Love the colors and the silver clutch is so cute. The hijab is beautiful…I love purple!! :) Now if it’s cold what do you wear over all that? I’d feel a bit dressed down in my regular old coat!

  4. Jodi yeah those shoes are probably hard to walk in. I really want to get back in heels but am waiting for the lil ones to get to a stage where I don’t have to worry that I’ll need to carry them.

As for a coat, a nice long “car coat” or those light trench jackets would look great on top. You really don’t need anything heavy. But because it’s winter any coat that hits about the knee would look good, like those wool ones.
