pop culture hijabi

I’ll stray a little bit from pop culture to talk about my latest shopping spree. I’ve been trying to reorganize my room lately, and I went into the Container Store to pick up a few things.

Let me tell you, the Container Store is downright dangerous for me. I go in there, and I pick up a million things I just don’t need.

I tried to limit myself this time to the project at hand: Organizing my drawers.

I was pretty good. I bought some jewelry boxes to try and contain all my stray earrings, bracelets and necklaces.

Jewelry Organizer

I also broke down and bought a makeup organizer. I didn’t really NEED it, but it actually has come in handy.

Makeup Organizer

The best purchase was this 8-compartment drawer insert for my bracelets. I have a ton of bracelets, and I don’t know what to do with them.

Bracelet Drawer

I have these racks from Pakistan for my glass bracelets, but they don’t really work for the chunkier variety.

Bracelet Hanger

The compartments turned out to be the perfect size for the variety of bracelets I own, and they’re easy enough to search through when I’m looking for something to wear.

Now my next project will have to be my closet. I saw a ton of bins to organize my clothes, and I’m excited to get started on that project next weekend.

I really wanna go to this store! But they’re all out of the city I think.. hmmm
And I see you like Bare Minerals too hehe :)

Wow, I LOVE the jewelry organizers! I think The Container Store would be dangerous territory for me too. Although I now I could justify buying the jewelry and make-up organizer, they seem very useful.
Mariam, I think the Container Store shave an online store, don’t they?
I’d love to have their Purse organizer (http://www.containerstore.com/browse/Product.jhtml?CATID=78370&PRODID=10019933) , and the “doorganizer”.

I really want to go to the store again to get some boxes and things for my closet, but I’m scared. :)
The purse organizer seems cool. I can never find anything in my purse.
And yeah I love bare minerals!

Now once you organize everything does it stay that way? lol I love these organizers. I don’t have a container store near me but perhaps I can check on the web. I love the bracelets and I must confess to Bare Minerals also!! :) I’ve been seeing commercials for ‘under the bed’ shoe organizers and they are tempting! Thanks so much for showing us this. I need to get a move on with more organizing!

  7. Sally says:

any hints on how to organize long necklaces?
I hang them on the door knob, but when I travel they always get all tangled up!

  8. Nadia Malik says:

You know, so far everything’s stayed pretty organized. We’ll see if that’s the case in a few months. :)
I actually have a travel jewelry case that I use for my earrings and things. But I don’t know if I’ve ever used it for a necklace. But it has a bunch of compartments, so I think that would stop necklaces from tangling.
But I also found this product. I wonder if it works!
