  1. […] video today  shows a new exercise to incorporate into your […]

  2. Once again you came up with an awesome video, its amazing how with each episode I can almost see how the show is maturing…I loved the video effects, the filming was awesome…..close up of lentils, and the blue flying scarf in the beginning …very bright and pleasant…
lol plus I heard your cat in the background haha;)
    good work!

  3. Thanks for the comment Fatima!! :)
LOL I forgot about the cat.. I meant to take it out hehe..

  4. Mashallah i loved the video! :)
the graphics were great and your TV/presentation skills are admirable.
i just wish you specified what spices you put in the lentil soup for kitchen-challenged people like me :P and maybe showed what it looked like later, like jumped forward to when it was done and being served at iftar, it would’ve added a more personal family touch :)
and im sooo doing the side squats, can’t believe i forgot about them theyre a great excersize!
xox GREAT gob! keep ‘em coming!

  5. love it! looking forward to more recipes.

  6. Habibty I love your show, but I am the queen of shorbat 3ads myself. What about cummin? What about a little butter and garlic… Black pepper. Oh and for me I found that the carrot is necessary, or else the soup will have a color that is not very nice. LOL no offence to your cooking skills!

You are doing a great job with everything else, though :D Loving it

  7. lol everyone… I know I didn’t specify the spices, I actually had that planned but was cut because of time constraints.

I will put my personal recipe with a photo up inshallah as a follow up to this. I didn’t realize it was such a popular soup hehe.

Basbousa.. butter?! We’re trying to be healthy here hehe ;)

All this talk of food is making me very hungry!

  8. Love the show. Good advice on the easy excersize. I never thought about the great style with hijab cap on top. I think I just might try it!

  9. Aminah, I came up with that technique one day out of frustration because I hate using pins hehe… it works like a charm!

  10. hey mariam! love the new format, video for a fashion-themed show works great, look forward to coming episodes! take care, danya

  11. Brilliant! Love it love it love it! Yet again, Mariam…masha’Allah very impressive!!. Your work is so professional yet personable. I loved the opening graphics, loved the background music and love that we get to see YOU!:) Can’t wait for more and more….no pressure:). May Allah bless your efforts and Ramadhan Kareem. salaams saida

  12. Yes, butter! You don’t need to use much, but it gives a whole better taste to the soup. Promise. :D As for me, I eat food with oil and butter to it, as long as it’s not deep fried (I do that too, but not very often)… I have experienced that I can eat as much as I like if the food contains a lot of hot pepper, garlic and other spices. Keeps you skinny without working out

  13. loool Basbousa.. you’re going to have a lot of people hating your right now ;)
