Happy 4th of July

We’re so happy it’s a long weekend. Woohoo! We really need this break, and we’re sure you’re going to have fun too. Who doesn’t love the 4th of July? That’s why we’ve put together some ideas for a special outfit to flaunt tomorrow as you hit those picnics and fireworks. Have fun!

Jones New York Signature Denim Jacket
Was $109.00 now $38.15

redshirt.jpg
Polo Shirt from Old Navy
Was $14.50 now $10.00

AE Sailor Pant
Was $44.50 Now $34.95

Flared Jean
Was $29.50 now $25.00

With the khaki pants you can wear a fancy sandal or flat to dress it up. If you prefer jeans, try some sexy cowboy boots or flip flps with them. For your hijab choose a nice solid color like red, white or blue (hmm do we spot a theme here?) and tuck it into the polo shirt.

Now you’re ready to start grillin’.

Enjoy your break, we’re going to go have a root-beer float.

Happy Independence Day! See you all back here on Monday.

    Lamiya,

Thanks for taking the time to comment 🙂
I will definitely look into the golfing attire, I have a few ideas up my sleeve…
And thanks for mentioning the tip about H&M.. they are definitely an over-looked retailer.

    Salaams Mariam!
Thanks for the great advice. I’ve been listening to the podcasts now. You sound great by the way! I’ve got two things… a question for you and a suggestion.
#1 I have golfed a few times and have been invited to go this summer. Do you have any great ideas for hijabi outfits on the golf course besides the usual long sleeve under a golf shirt?
#2 The store H&M is worth mentioning for every color long sleeve light weight shirt for layering. I’m a plus size, but I purchase the largest size 12 and although I wouldn’t wear it with out a shirt over the top. Their shirts are great for pairing up under cute short sleeve shirts. Like I said they come in about every color you could imagine and they are super thin (cool.)
Keep up the good work, take care and I will keep an eye out for a hijabi golfer article ; )
    Salaams! Lamiya
