Modern Muslim Women: Self-Tanning Lotion

A great secret to keeping your skin looking smooth and nice is to use self-tanner. If you put it on your face it gives it a nice glow and can often eliminate the need for tinted moisturizer or foundation.

There are so many products to choose from when it comes to self-tanning lotion that you can always play around and try to figure out which one will compliment your skin tone best. Test the lotion on different spots of your body because the color can vary depending on where you put it. For example your face may look great with self-tanner, but it might look more orange in color on your stomach because your face naturally gets more sunlight.

Another option is to get a spray tan, which in my opinion is the best, especially if you’re planning to do it all over.

Products I’ve used that work wonders:

From L-R: Nivea, Neutrogena, Coppertone.

Nivea and Neutrogena lotions build a tan gradually because they are primarily lotions with a hint of self-tanner. Neutrogena has an added bonus: it contains SPF20.

Coppertone is great for all over the body or just on the face. It works really fast because it’s pure self-tanner.

Don’t let the companies try to sell you seperate products for face and body. They are the same exact thing, just re-packaged so you’ll be conned into buying more items.

Remember: Always follow the directions on the bottle and always exfoliate before applying.

I’m not a religious authority. But I have never heard that. Not sure why that would be a problem.
